Breakfast didn’t have a huge selection, but what was there was fresh and tasty. The staff could make more effort with English. Lithuanian and Russian seemed easiest to use, though we didn’t try Polish. Apparently the manager speaks Finnish. As a Finn, I appreciated that the wall information was also in Finnish, alongside Lithuanian, English, and Russian. We stayed in Room #5, a two-floor room with the double bed upstairs and the bathroom and sitting area with a fridge downstairs. The room was clean and tidy, and the self-service setup worked very well. The entry and room codes came by SMS; the front door has an electronic code lock, and the room keys are in code-locked boxes. There’s a fenced parking area behind the building, accessed with a key you get inside.

We’d booked a room, but on arrival there was a self check-in system and we’d never received the code. Two other men at the door were also trying to reach the hotel using the phone number posted there, with text in four languages. We called several times, and so did they, but none of us could get through. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Not even one star. Avoid this hotel.

The room was clean and tidy. Before I arrived, the property texted all the passwords, and I got the key from a self-service cabinet. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, but could barely speak English. Breakfast was basic: a few kinds of toast, salami, ham, cheese, muesli, and cornflakes. For cold drinks there was orange juice and orange-flavored water; hot drinks included tea, green, yellow label, and fruit, plus coffee. The only hot food was eggs and canned hot dogs.

For two people, the night cost 36€, which felt like good value. Breakfast was good, there was a closed parking area, and a store is two minutes away across the road. Entry is by code lock, and the room key is in a box on the first floor in the stairwell. I received the entry and key-box codes by SMS before arrival. The downsides: not many TV channels, shower water sometimes turned extremely cold and had pressure problems, and the walls were thin enough that I could hear the neighbors next door. Overall, good for the money.
