Aerohotel

There’s an Ikea next door, plus a small shopping center with restaurants, a supermarket and clothing shops. The hotel was easy to find, and they provided a map. It’s a 10-15 minute walk from the airport. My room was clean and comfortable.

I never even made it inside, and I didn’t get my money back. A small misunderstanding with the hosts couldn’t be sorted out, so I lost the payment and had to stay at a different hotel. I picked this place for its airport proximity, but the courtyard looked more like a car junkyard, which made for a very strange impression. I’d avoid it. Vilnius has plenty of better options with reception, friendly service and better prices, and a taxi can get you to the airport in 10-15 minutes.

The rooms were strange, to say the least. Ours had a round bed, though I’m not sure what it was for, and there was barely any headroom on one side. Also, why two TVs? There were no signs or directions from the road, and the road itself was broken and unlit. Parking rules were strange, with threats of fines, and we only heard about parking on the morning we arrived. The car park smelled of petrol. The vending machines only took coins, which new arrivals are unlikely to have. I would NOT recommend it.

The host was rude. I asked if we could check in a little early and was told yes, but after we left the property they complained that we’d pushed in early and hadn’t read the checkout instructions. The cleaner had already explained where to leave the keys and how to fill out the paperwork, and we did that. Weirdo. The room decor and beds looked like they were for some sort of xxx activities. There’s no lift, so we had to drag all our suitcases up one floor. The car park was full, with at least two garages repairing cars in the same building.
