The shower was in terrible shape, nothing worked and the showerhead was rusty. The pillows also seem not to have been changed in years. Honestly, I don't understand how the hotel can operate without investing in room quality. It’s an outdated, very old hotel. The mattresses looked stained and 15 years old, and were so soft it was impossible to sleep. I woke up with back pain. They seemed like old Soviet era mattresses with metal springs.

We paid in full in advance for two nights, but the man on the phone at check-in told us to leave another 8 Euros at checkout. There was never anyone at the front desk and no on-site person to talk to. The place was a terrible choice despite its convenient location. We could have stayed in the old town somewhere better for the same price. The hotel advertised free parking, but the only option was an expensive parking meter. That’s false advertising. Don’t waste your time or money here. What a rip-off!

You need to get the entry code by email to open the door. The price was excellent, and the street was quiet at night. I could walk to the famous shopping street and the indoor market, and there’s a pharmacy next door. I had leg cramps after my long flight, so that pharmacy was useful.

The room was small but had everything furnished well, and the price was very reasonable. My third floor room was quiet at night even though the hotel is on a busy street. Interiors are well decorated, and there’s an elevator. Check-in is self-service, with frequent messages from the staff, though I never saw anyone in the lobby. The location worked well, under ten minutes on foot from the train station, with a supermarket, major sights and restaurants close by. A good cheap option near the station.
