P-ONE Apartments Self Check-in

The way this place handled my arrival left a terrible first impression of the city. Check-in details came after the check-in time, and when I raised the problem, the reply was extremely harsh (attached). They blamed booking.com for being slow and told me to use Airbnb. I’ve visited more than 80 countries and am a Genius level 3 member, and this was the first time I’d had a similar experience. Before sending the instructions, they also directed me to another website, which booking.com doesn’t authorize, to pay the city tax and upload a passport photo. All of this came at the last minute, even though it was mandatory to access a room I’d already paid for. The building is right inside a gas station, and the road is broken, making it impossible to pull luggage along (picture). The location is terrible. The room was on the third floor, with no elevator, and the bed was a sofa with an uneven surface and a division down the middle that made it hard to sleep. My window looked out onto a car repair shop, the curtains let in the sun, and the internet connection was unstable. The accommodation costs almost $60 a night, and saving on the room could mean spending on taxis and replacing damaged luggage.
