Stay Express Hotel

The room and bathroom were far too small, and the photos were misleading. With only a tiny ceiling window, there was no airflow and the room got too hot and humid for sleeping. It was cramped and awkward, with nowhere to open luggage, and my head hit the roof in most parts of the room. This “hotel” felt like a bad hostel, yet cost almost 70€. It isn’t worth any price and should be removed from listing sites and Google Maps as it is, or it will ruin more vacations.

There was barely room to move. With two of us in the room, one had to sit down just so the other could get past, and opening a suitcase was out of the question. We ended up laughing about it, at least. The bathroom also had stains that wouldn’t come off. We booked this at the last minute after a water break forced the cancellation of our rbnb.

The location by the old town is the main plus. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, but it was much tinier than the booking photos made clear. A kettle or shared kitchen would have been useful. We also paid 10 euros to store our luggage, only to find it left in the corridor by reception when we returned. That didn’t feel secure or worth the fee.

It worked well for us as a simple place to sleep, though the rooms are very small. I took off a star because there were no large towels. After showering I needed two little ones, and couldn’t even wrap them around myself.
