At these prices, I'd look somewhere closer to the center. The traders have spoiled what used to be a lovely piece of nature: trees have been uprooted for the road, more projects are planned nearby, and the forest landscape will soon be gone. The so-called highway is supposed to close soon, while the stream leading to Sport Lake has already become a swamp. In summer, it's so poisonous here you can't sit comfortably :)

Maybe the project itself isn't bad, but the prices are astronomical. They're asking as much as €190,000 for a three-room apartment nearer the lake, and those units are only partly finished, just bare walls, as they say. There's still renovation and furniture to pay for. An ordinary citizen can only dream of owning one.

Svolaciai. I had a nice view of the lake from my window and showed off my hut. On top of that, I was promised some kind of road, as I understand it, linking Pilaite with the surrounding area. Good thing I won't be living here much longer. But Svolaciai, people already have a road right under their noses. Ukrainian workers keep going into the forest to eat, and it's annoying.

Such a cozy spot, and lovely for families.
