I got a taste of a new hospitality trend on this trip: having a reservation cancelled before I arrived. I'd booked a standard flexible rate, guaranteed by card and payable on arrival. I assumed that meant the room would still be there when I got there. The team seems to read Accor’s global policies differently, which is especially surprising given my Gold loyalty status. While I was in a taxi from the airport, an automated email said my booking had been cancelled at noon. I tried calling the hotel to sort it out, but the phone lines kept failing. At the desk, staff explained very casually that they'd tried to charge or pre-authorise my guarantee card before I arrived. It was a digital wallet card used for the booking, and I intended to pay the full amount at the desk, as the rate allowed. Somehow they seemed to decide that made the guaranteed booking non-guaranteed, and it expired at midday. Then came the strangest part: they rebooked us right there, so room availability clearly hadn't been the problem. No apology for putting a travelling couple through a minor cardiovascular event in a taxi from the airport. Instead, I was casually told they “do this from time to time.” If reservation roulette and unapologetic service sound fun, you'll love it here. Anyone looking for the excellent standards and basic manners I've found across the rest of the Accor network may want to look elsewhere.

The breakfast was delicious and had lots of variety, and our restaurant served wonderful traditional dishes. Staff were pleasant and helpful, and the maids were sweet, sociable, and attentive. Families with little babies and pets can stay here. There are high chairs and a kids' corner with toys.

The location made getting around Vilnius easy, whether on foot or by transport. The room was quiet and comfortable, with thoughtful lighting and temperature, and it had what I needed for a good rest. It was clean and well kept, with fresh linens, a comfortable bed, and a spotless bathroom with the essentials. Slippers weren't provided, and staff kindly explained they're not a standard amenity. That would've made things a little more comfortable, but it wasn't a major issue. Check-in was quick, staff were polite and helpful, and everything felt smooth from arrival. ibis Vilnius Centre has a modern, clean feel. Cleanliness and service were both at a high level, and the stay was good value. I'd happily come back and recommend it.

The staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean and quiet. It's a convenient base for sightseeing, about a 15-minute walk to the city center and old town, including "Gedimino bokstas," "Katedros aikste" and restaurants. Prices are good if you book ahead. Recommended.

Clean, well-maintained rooms and generally helpful, professional staff made for a comfortable stay at a good price. The location was very convenient for getting around the city. We did have some inconvenience because of a misunderstanding about our room, apparently caused by staff not communicating with each other. Apart from that, we had a positive experience.
