The host was impolite and unwelcoming, and the apartment was dirty, with dust all over the floors. The furniture looked worn and poorly cleaned, despite appearing new in the photos. We also found too few towels, blankets, and detergent, and some rooms had no light bulbs while the lights elsewhere were dim. There was no WiFi information, and the connection was weak. In the large bathroom, the water pipe was blocked. The host just said it would be “revamped,” with no idea when that might happen, so we had to clear it ourselves just to shower instead of having to swim.

We had lots of room for four adults and could enjoy panoramic views. The owner was helpful when I spoke with him, and his English was good. A Lidl is right outside for anything you might need. The Old Town is about a 20-minute walk away. We stayed three nights.

We booked for two families, seven people in all, and had told the host we'd be bringing children. The apartment was unsafe for children and felt genuinely dangerous. What we got also bore little resemblance to the listing: we expected three bedrooms, a shared area, 4.5 bathrooms, and two king beds, but were given a one-bedroom place with a double bed and two sofa beds, one in the hallway and one in the living room. That meant only six sleeping spots for seven guests. The other family brought their 18-month-old baby. The host arranged a second apartment directly across from ours after we contacted her, then an hour later asked for more money for the baby. Airbnb says children under three stay free, and our toddler was two, so we had already paid for a child we shouldn't have been charged for. When I refused, the host sent very rude messages. Airbnb eventually stepped in and resolved the issue. The place was modern, but cramped and lacking privacy. The bathroom could only be reached through the hallway where someone might be sleeping, so using it at night could wake them or cause an accident because of the tight space. There was dust under the sofas, the dishwasher didn't work, some blinds were broken, and the power went out twice during our stay. The listing's ten-minute walk to the Old Town was more like a 15-minute drive. City tax hadn't been mentioned in the listing, but the host demanded it later. Parking wasn't free either. The host said guests with foreign plates should ignore parking tickets, which is illegal and could get them fined. After we left negative feedback, the host sent us abusive messages. This was one of my worst stays, with the apartment not as advertised, little space or privacy, and a very rude host.

A modern, cozy place with two floors and comfortable beds and sofa. Lidl supermarket is less than a minute away.
