The setting is the standout: the hotel sits among extensive woods, with lovely scenery and a small river nearby. It’s calm and peaceful, though a little far from the city center. If a quiet evening matters more to you than the room, facilities, or food, it might suit you. Otherwise, I’d look elsewhere. The property is old, the rooms are relatively small, and there isn’t enough luggage storage. The bathrooms are small too. We were 37 tourists from India, and both dinner and breakfast were below average. Those of us who couldn’t enjoy the so-called local cuisine had a hard time eating what was served.

The location was great, and the staff were amazing, friendly, and easy to talk to. The hotel shows its age, with some things looking imperfect, but that’s understandable and was fine. There was a leaking toilet, though. The stains on the tiles made it look as if it had been leaking for years, so it really needs fixing sooner. We stayed two mornings, and breakfast had the same items both days. There was a wide choice for such a small place, including a lunch dish, and most of the food was really good. The meats, especially the sausages and deli meats, were very low quality, maybe the worst I’ve tried, so I’d skip those. I’d still recommend this place for a short stay with family or friends if you’re not a perfectionist. If I come to Vilnius by car again, I’ll be back.

It’s quiet and cozy, and the location is very nice, but you need a car. The place needs renovation, since several items were broken and there were cracks in the ceilings. There’s no elevator. We both had injuries, one knee and one back, yet had to carry our luggage up to the second floor.

The secluded, quiet location was lovely, and I thought the hotel itself was enjoyable, with a great breakfast. But the last part of my stay left me in a bad mood. My key card wouldn’t open the room door, though it worked for my roommates. An older woman from the staff room, wearing what looked like a rose-colored silk gown, angrily told me in Russian to stop knocking so loudly. I wasn’t knocking. I explained the card wasn’t working, but she threatened to call reception if I tried to enter our room again. I knocked quietly, then got in after my roommates opened the door. About five minutes later reception called because she had reported that I was knocking loudly and told me to stop. I explained what happened, but the receptionist seemed not to listen closely and said I’d have to pay if I broke something in the door, which wasn’t my point or my intention. I said I wasn’t breaking it and tried my card again, but it still didn’t work. He probably understood then, and we ended the call. All of this happened over 10-15 minutes, before checkout.
