The owners were welcoming. They met us in the street and helped us park near the apartments on the narrow old street. The location is only 50 meters from the main walking street and its best restaurants, while still feeling quiet. We stayed in a very large, bright room with space for four, though there were three of us. Its inner doors were renovated but still retro, more than 200 years old, and there were old paintings on the walls. The beds and furniture are new with a vintage design, mixed with genuine old, stylish pieces like mirrors. The house itself was built in the 1790s and has a private courtyard with a fireplace and the possibility of a BBQ. What more could you ask for?

Bring biscuits and milk if you’ll arrive late, since there aren’t any little comforts in the fridge. Aside from that, it was just grand. A lovely, quiet apartment in a private courtyard, right in the old town and close to everything. There are free electric scooters all over the city too.

The best thing is the location, and the staff were friendly. The apartment’s interior felt eclectic and odd to me. I couldn’t see how the French countryside details fit with the modern style or with Vilnius old town. We had street-facing windows. The street is tiny, but the sound echoes and gets extremely loud. The beds are installed high up by the ceiling, so the room quickly becomes hot and stuffy. There’s no air conditioning, and leaving the windows open means you can’t sleep because of the noise. The boiler screamed while heating water, and the fridge was extremely loud with no way to unplug it. Heavy sleepers might not mind, but I’m a very light sleeper and barely got four hours that night. There was only one blanket for two guests, and the towels had turned grey after no longer being white.

The apartment felt very private, even though it’s right in the heart of the old Town. The location couldn’t be better. I’d never stay anywhere else in Vilnius.

Everything is within walking distance from these clean, decent apartments. They’re in a very nice central spot and work perfectly for a holiday in Vilnius.
