The room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for a vacation, including a working microwave, toaster, and fridge. Staff were very friendly and offered us a free room upgrade since it was a quiet week and we needed a bigger table to work at. The only possible downside is that there’s no air conditioning in summer. The heater only runs at full blast overnight, not during the day, though that shouldn’t be a problem if you’re out then.

There are plenty of nearby restaurants open from 12:00 to 23:00, so finding food is easy. The rooms are spacious, have lovely views, and come either with or without a kitchen. They’re cleaned every day, and the staff respond quickly on WhatsApp and by phone. Booking directly might get you a better price. I’d definitely come back, the location is very good.

For a short stay, this is a handy apartment. It has a big room with a kitchen area, bathroom, Netflix TV, large bed, balcony, and the option of an extra bed. It was warm, the radiators worked well, and extra blankets were available. The mattress was quite firm. I liked it, though I can see it might not suit everyone. There’s no lift, so be ready to carry suitcases upstairs. Parking in the courtyard fits about five or six cars. It works well for visiting Jurmala or even Riga. There are around four or five apartments on each floor, but the walls seem well soundproofed since we couldn’t hear the neighbours. The building is right by the pedestrian area with restaurants, shops, and market stalls, and the sea is a 10-minute walk away. It felt safe for children. Driving there was confusing, but the assistant answered the phone right away and told us to take the slip road on the left of the pedestrian street and cross it. I booked through a deal hotel/apartment platform at 9 pm after dinner in Riga, and we were in the room 45 minutes later. It cost just €52. I imagine that was an out-of-season price. I recommend Tamara Apartments.

We got a good rest here, the place was very comfortable. The check-in arrangement was convenient, and we appreciated the attention to detail. Parking was easy, the sea was a few minutes’ walk away, and there were several restaurants nearby.
