The hostel was hard to spot, and the smell inside was really bad. At first, my friend and I were supposed to share a day bed in a room with other people. We found it broken and definitely too short. “Luckily,” another room was available, but it was very, very filthy.

I ended up at the hostel while cycling EuroVelo10 because there weren’t enough campsites, and what a find. After a rainy day on the bike, I had a room to myself that could easily sleep three, with space to keep my bike safely in the room. There was loads of hot water, heating from a hot wall?!, and a microwave and kettle in the room. I dried out and left feeling ready for another day of cycling...
