Elizabeths Youth Hostel

The rooms are tidy and clean, and the beds are firm, clean and soft. There’s always free tea, coffee and cocoa, plus a fridge, microwave, clean dishes, and tables where you can sit and eat. Staff are friendly, though they’re not there around the clock, someone is always around in the morning. It’s close to the bus and train stations, with a big shopping centre across the road that has supermarkets, KFC and more. It’s cheap, and I’ve stayed here five or six times already. I like this place.

We had a big group and almost the entire floor to ourselves, which was nice. Some rooms had a little sitting room, while others had a table and chairs. The location worked well, with a large store next door and the old city centre just a five-minute walk away. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The one drawback was that some rooms didn’t have good curtains.

The staff were friendly, and the location is handy, close to the city centre and Old Town. But the rooms had several problems. The walls were so thin I could hear everything from the next room and shower, and the neighbouring door made noise whenever someone came or went. The bedsheets were dirty, the windows badly needed washing, and there was no bin in the room. There were also clear signs of mold damage on the floor, which didn’t seem healthy to breathe in all night. Parking was €8 per car per night, which could be a lot cheaper.

The location near the train station is wonderful. Everything was very clean, and the host was absolutely amazing!
