The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the service was friendly. The hotel felt high quality, and the sparkling wine sent to our room for a birthday, without us ordering it, was a lovely surprise.

We chose the smallest room, which was small but thoughtfully equipped. It had a clean, new bathroom and an opening window looking out over the boulevard. The hotel is well appointed, offers great breakfasts and wonderful service, and felt like good value for money. I'd recommend it.

The location is great, and both the hotel and breakfast were good. Parking is the catch, as with most hotels in Riga's Old Town. If you're coming by car, check ahead where you can leave it, because it won't be cheap.

Our room was huge, and I didn't hear any tram noise, though apparently it can be noisy. They'd left earplugs just in case. The hotel was welcoming and excellently located by the bus station and the Old Town, with its amazing nightlife. The lift is a bit slow.

I haven't slept on pillows or bedding this wonderful in 40 years of travel. I even tried to track down the pillow so I could have one shipped, but couldn't find the source. This renovated hotel is close to the Old Town, farmers market, and art nouveau area. Breakfast had plenty of choice, and the dining room was comfortable. The windows blocked sound well, so the tram below wasn't a problem. The in-room espresso machine and fluffy bathrobe were lovely extras. Such a great find. I'll keep an eye out for other eurostars.
