We had a standard room with a view and a perfect location. The decor had a slightly old-school chic feel, and we enjoyed the stay. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including gluten-free options and decaf coffee. Parking right by the hotel was very convenient, though it costs extra. Drive into the lot and register your car at check-in. We got back from a late evening event around 3:30 am and found the hotel locked, so we had to use our room cards to get inside.

The frozen river views were spectacular, and the transport connections were excellent. Inside, the hotel was stunning, and our room was very comfortable. The shower pressure was incredible, and we even had a bath. Temperature control was a bit unpredictable, but opening the windows helped with ventilation when needed.

The breakfast was okay, though the plates were stacked in a really odd spot. There are plenty of room problems too. They apologized but didn't fix many of them or offer compensation. It's a budget hotel and the photos make it look better than it is. Don't waste your time, pay more and stay somewhere else. A Bolt across the water was about 4€.

The one good thing was the friendly staff. The rooms were just okay, though the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was awful. Parking and pool access cost extra. Even after we'd paid for parking, I had to ask reception to open the parking gate three separate times. Each time they said it was “just an error.” It was extremely frustrating and really spoiled the experience.

I loved the morning menu, and the bed was very comfortable. The room was really good, the staff friendly, and the central Riga location made the hotel feel perfect. Dinner let things down: the food wasn't warm enough, and the meat or fish choices felt like variations of the same dish. Still, it was a nice visit. :)
