The apartment was at least okay inside, but the overall experience left us extremely upset and took away our good feelings about Riga. We were charged about 250 euros in the end for a place we considered far from the center, and for carrying our dog up seven floors for three days. We travel a lot in Russia, Europe, and Asia, and haven't had service this awful in a long time. I can't say where the positive reviewers stayed, and suspect some may be the host's friends. There are no nearby shops or cafes, and street parking seemed haphazard, including on the sidewalk. The apartment is on the seventh floor with no elevator. We travel with a corgi who has paw problems and can't manage stairs for health reasons. After booking, we saw reviews mentioning the stairs and immediately asked to cancel without a penalty. The owner refused and offered only paid cancellation. They also said the dog fee was 45 euros, though neither the floor nor such a large pet charge was mentioned in the apartment profile. The initial price was 133 euros, but with the dog fee and extra charges for linen, towels, and other things, it came to around 250. For us, this was deliberate fraud by the owners and an attempt to cash in. The value for money was inadequate. I don't recommend dealing with them.

I felt right at home here. The apartment was spotless, modern, and well equipped, with a comfortable soft bed and pillow, a nice bathroom, fast internet, and quiet neighbors. It's in a high-rise building, and everything we needed for the trip was provided. Vitaly was friendly and helpful, and can explain where things are, how they work, and what they cost. There were thoughtful extras everywhere: an umbrella, cotton swabs and pads, a first aid kit and sewing supplies in the bathroom, a washing machine, breakfast groceries, fruit, and aromatic coffee. The place was comfortable and had all the little things that made it feel like home. If I come back to Riga, I'd stay here again.

The room was light, clean, and modern, and even though it wasn't huge, it felt airy enough for two. The double bed was comfortable and in an unusual spot. Cooking was easy with enough dishes, and the heat was adjustable, with radiators you could use even in summer. The bathroom was clean; the towels were soft and pleasant, though not terribly washed. There's an iron, washing machine, TV, hairdryer, internet, and hardly any flaws in the room. I felt at home and didn't want to leave. It had all the things you might need, from a toaster to a hairdryer and iron, and we were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast groceries. I'm very glad we chose it. If I return to Riga, I'd pick it again and again. Thank you!
