Tiger Hostel

I’ve stayed in plenty of hostels, and this is probably the worst one I’ve been to. There are no lockers or real sense of security. They claim to have 24-hour reception, but leave the door wide open so strangers can walk in, and don’t seem to care. The door code never changes, so anyone can get in at any time. I was missing some items after my stay. Then, at exactly 12pm, the morning receptionist kicked me out of the whole building even though I’d already checked out. She wouldn’t let me make plans for my time in the city, which made arranging the next day take much longer. She was extremely rude. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The location is really nice, and it’s not too expensive. Wi-Fi was moderate. They have a rule about leaving and coming back after 9 pm, but it doesn’t stop you from partying and returning. The rooms are pretty crammed with bunk beds, and my biggest problem was that one electrical outlet didn’t work.

It was clean, but very small, so I wouldn’t plan to spend much time at the hostel. There was an extra fee to keep my bicycle in the garden. Also, the kitchen wasn’t really a kitchen as promised, since there was no stove. And despite the name, the linen had some leopard patterns on it ;)

It’s very close to the old city and right beside the train station, and the guy working there was really helpful. The place wasn’t that clean or properly tidied up. There’s no common room, and it isn’t a real kitchen either.
