Don't be put off by the building. Inside it's modern and spacious, with appliances including a washing machine, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker, plus a TV with Netflix. It's affordable, much less than the hotel. Great location right in the city center, close to bars, restaurants, and shops. I'd definitely stay there again.

Both bedroom mattresses were disgusting, and the bathroom was disgraceful. The apartment felt very outdated and unkept, and needs some TLC. I'd rather have paid a little extra and stayed outside town.

The breakfast was really a grocery shopping service. On the first afternoon, the fridge was stocked with things you can find in supermarkets around the world. Buying them in Latvia doesn't make them typically Latvian. The whole apartment was filthy and disgusting, covered in a visible film of dirt that made it seem like it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned for a considerable time. It also looked heavily worn and shabby.

The apartments are spacious, and there's free parking in the yard. The location is great, near the museum and town hall, with everything within walking distance.

The place was clean, and the view from the windows and location were great. Check-in and parking instructions were good. The stairwell had the smell of an old stone house, which came through partly into the apartment, and there's no air conditioning.
