The location is hard to top, and the food deserves a mention too, especially the pastries in the little shop. I happened to be there during rhubarb season. Breakfast is included, with a really nice range of choices, and the homemade juice is worth trying. My regular single room was just right, with a very comfortable bed and the best pillow ever. Everything was fantastic down to the details. The owner was so nice, and the kitty was sweet without being at all obnoxious. 5++ stars!

The rooms are lovely and really big, but breakfast was the standout. There were lots of choices, including meat, eggs, pancakes and salads, and everything the chef made was delicious. The only downside is that it’s first come, first served. Once the bacon runs out, that’s it.

We were welcomed warmly and then settled into a lovely suite, with a small living room, bedroom and bathroom.

We changed hotels at the last minute because the one we’d booked before was very loud. In the end, we were really glad we did. The rooms here are simple, quiet and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly nice. We were very happy with the choice and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in town.

The staff were welcoming and very friendly, and the rooms were spacious and tidy. It’s a lovely hotel for a reasonable price, with a delicious breakfast and lots of sightseeing spots nearby. I’d definitely come back.
