Le Chant Des Palmiers

The natural setting made the hotel feel like a tropical escape in the Moroccan desert, and the hospitality was lovely and welcoming. One thing to keep in mind is that the occasional moth or lizard might not suit you if you're wary of them. Le chant makes you feel at home and treats you with great care. Even the local taxi drivers know the employees and will make sure you aren't charged more than you should be.

We turned up around midnight with my friend on bikes, with no reservation, and it was freezing. They gave us a very warm welcome. The rooms were roomy and nicely decorated, with a fireplace and comfortable beds. I'd recommend staying here, and I'll definitely come back.

We stayed at Le Chant Des Palmiers in early December, with daytime temperatures around 20c and nights around 7c. Our two floor room was a little tower, as our lovely host Myriam called it. We loved it, and the rooftop terrace had great views. The upper floor was much warmer and very comfortable in the evening. Everything around Le Chant Des Palmiers is thoughtfully decorated, and the room was lovely and had everything we needed. The food deserves a mention on its own. Breakfast came with our stay and was more than we could eat, with good coffee, marmalade, cheese, egg omelette, bread and fresh orange juice. Dinner was amazing, with quality that impressed us even by European standards. We also want to thank Mr. Houssain, who cooked, waited tables, gardened, and sometimes acted as landlord. His dedication to the guests never seemed to end. Set among the palms, this is a real oasis with wonderfully welcoming people. We booked several months before our trip and felt lucky to find this little paradise. It isn't a five star hotel in a metropolis, but you shouldn't expect that from accommodation in the high atlas/on the boarder to the desert.

The owners were friendly and very helpful, and breakfast was generous and varied. It's an easy walk to town over the hill. We had a truly enjoyable stay in this lovely little oasis among the palms, with nicely decorated rooms and garden, plenty of spots to relax, and a stunning view from the rooftop terrace.
