L'Ermitage d'Akchour

Such a beautiful, peaceful place, with lots of spots to sit and enjoy nature and the soothing sound of the stream. The staff were kind and helpful too. We wish we’d been able to stay longer. 10/10, I’d come back!

The rooms and whole property were spotless, and the attentive, professional staff made us feel well looked after. The farm-to-table cooking was especially exquisite. My husband and I had an exhilarating stay at l’Ermitage Akchour, a unique ecolodge set between the river and the Mountains. Its unusual layout and architecture make it feel like a sanctuary outside of time. We felt tranquil, connected to nature, and far removed from busy city life. A true Moroccan Gem, and we can’t recommend it enough for a relaxing getaway.

The place is beautiful and has an elegant setting, but it felt deserted and lifeless. After a wonderful hike, I stopped for a drink because of its good reputation. I waited on the terrace, but nobody came to greet me or offer a menu. I went inside to ask if anyone was available. The owner asked someone to come out and take my order, but nobody ever did. It’s a shame, because a place with this reputation and image should offer service to match.

We stopped here for some much-needed food after a hike. The staff were amazing, and the views were top tier. Highly recommend it for a meal or a few nights’ stay!
