We didn’t feel welcome or looked after at all, despite having travelled around Marrakesh and the world. The owners were only pleasant on arrival, then seemed to be in a bad mood or arguing. Breakfast orders took two to three hours. We asked for it at 8, but didn’t start eating until 10, and the dishes arrived at different times, so the food was cold. Our rooms weren’t cleaned during the stay, and our towels were never changed even after we asked. We even had to ask for toilet paper in the middle of the night. Cleaning throughout the hotel wasn’t great, with dirt left around. The prices didn’t match what we ordered, and they demanded more money than we thought they deserved. It felt like a scam targeting tourists. The owners confronted us rudely and used bad language, which made us feel unsafe. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want a pleasant stay.

The pool was quiet and nearly empty most of the time, since the hotel doesn’t have many rooms. We had it to ourselves for most of our stay, which was great. They’d ask what kind of music we wanted to hear when we were alone at the pool, and kept checking whether we needed anything. The place is calm and beautiful, especially for couples, and the service made us feel at home. Mohammed and Chaimae were especially friendly and welcoming. The manager was kind too, always looking to give the best service at a good price and willing to negotiate. Making guests comfortable seemed to matter most to him.

The place looks nice and the rooms were clean, but the service made our stay really disappointing. Nobody explained when rooms would be cleaned or food served. We asked for breakfast at 9 and got it at 11. On our final night, they charged new dinner prices even though the menus they gave us listed different amounts. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you care about good service.

It’s a gorgeous, quiet riad outside Marrakesh, and the staff were so kind that we felt like honored guests. The city’s noise and bustle seemed to disappear as soon as we stepped inside. The only drawbacks were the 20 minute drive from downtown Marrakech and that staff spoke French much more fluently than English. I’d highly recommend it.
