Aourir Waves Surf House

I ended up finding the best tajines right where I was staying. You can order homemade moroccan dishes as a guest, and they were 10/10. The owners, Celine and Mustapha, are incredibly warm and hard working, and their cats will steal your heart. I loved Aourir/Tamawanza for its quiet, local feel, though it was easy to get to Agadir by bus or taxi, and to Tamraght on foot, as well as Tagazhout. I stayed almost three weeks and already miss it. The house is classically moroccan, tastefully decorated, perfectly maintained and spotlessly clean. Thank you, Celine, Mustapha and furry babies 🐾

We loved the relaxed rooftop in the evenings, and the atmosphere made it easy to meet other guests and enjoy the moment. We'd come back anytime. Mustafa and Selina were amazing hosts, always ready with great local advice for our questions and those of the other guests. Breakfast omelettes and dinner were incredibly tasty. Surf guidance from Mustafa helped us build confidence in bigger waves and move up a level, and it was a lot of fun too. I'd recommend renting a scooter and heading wherever you feel like. Stop by local markets and enjoy the stay.

It's a very nice place to stay, but I need to respond to the false account Celina posted about me on another booking site. She wrote, "Luke had a minor slip on tiles while our cleaner was actively mopping the area. He was rushing and didn't see her working." That is completely false. I slipped on the wet tiled floor, and it wasn't minor for me. I had to go to A&E after returning, tore a ligament, and cancelled a trip to India. Saying I was rushing also really got to me. I was moving down the stairs calmly. The floor was treacherous, with the whole common area flooded. I don't take kindly to false information being put out there.

Mustafa and Selina are amazing hosts and made me feel at home 💛 The rooftop is lovely and chilled, and would be nice for yoga. Breakfast was delicious, and the place is comfortable, with lots of art and creative little details. Definitely recommend staying more than one night, you won't regret it ;)
