Atlas Kasbah Lodge

The terrace looks out to a panorama with Toubkal right in the middle, and the property itself is clean and cozy. My room stayed very warm, which was a real plus on cold mornings and evenings. The wifi worked well, and the location was quiet despite being not far from the main road. The dinner and breakfast were very tasty, but you need to book them in advance and pay extra, as there’s nowhere to eat nearby. The woman working here was very nice, though she doesn’t speak English, which wasn’t a big problem. Near Atlas Kasbah Lodge there’s a hiking trail leading to another valley and villages beyond the mountain.

I slept like a baby in the very comfortable bedroom, even with a wedding next door that woke me up like an earthquake. Everything was super clean, though the bathrooms smelled a bit. Breakfast was great, but my dinner, Berbere vegetable tagine and soup, was disappointing. Neither had much flavor or spice, and the tagine was pretty badly burned. We picked this place because the photos looked lovely and the other nearby hotel was full. In reality the terrace had no carpets or pillows, and nowhere comfortable to relax and take in the view.

The terrace view of toubkal is magnificent, and it’s a handy base for hiking. Abdel Aziz and his family looked after us from the time we arrived until we left, making us feel at home. The rooms were cozy and clean, and both dinner and breakfast were tasty, especially the home made bread. We’ll definitely return.

Such a lovely view and welcoming, hospitable people. Breakfast was tasty too. Just be aware that getting there from the parking lot means walking up steps.
