Imlil Hostel

Beware, this felt like a scam. The listings on AirBnB and Booking promised a nice private room with stylish beds, furniture, heating, parking on site, continuous WiFi, sheets and shampoo. They also said the place was near the road through Imlil and that the staff spoke English and French. We had to argue to get a private room, and communication was difficult because they didn't really speak either language. There were no beds, only mattresses, no sheets, no shampoo and no furniture. There was no heating either. I think you need a sleeping bag, since the thin blankets barely kept me warm even with my sleeping bag, which I've used below freezing before, though with more clothes then. The WiFi kept cutting out. The lodge was about 200 meters up a steep hill from the road it was supposed to be beside. The claimed on-site parking is especially ridiculous, since no road goes near the hostel. With heavy suitcases, you'd have to hire a mule to get there.

Mustafa and the whole staff gave us fantastic service and the accommodation was excellent. We climbed Toubkal from Imlil, and they sorted out everything we needed. Highly recommended! 😉👌🏼

After coming down from the refuge on our way to Toubkal, we stayed here for two nights and felt really at ease. The food was plentiful and delicious, and we were treated with so much kindness. There's a big terrace upstairs with tables and views across the mountains, valley and villages. We felt at home, with peace and quiet too. Thank you for all the care and good food.

Such a comfortable room, and the food was both delicious and plentiful. The service was friendly and attentive too. This was the best place to rest after climbing Toubkal. Highly recommend it! Tanemmirt
