Hôtel Café Palais Salam

The hotel is well located, and the included breakfast was good: omelet, hot drink, orange juice, bread, pain au chocolat, olive oil, cheeseburger, honey, olives, and water. The rooms are small but clean, with large comfortable beds, little room to unpack, and air conditioning/heating. Booking directly with the hotel cost less than using a booking platform. My main problem was the noise and the lack of nighttime rules. I stayed three nights. On the first, noise from the next room meant I only slept from 2 to 5 a.m. I didn’t say anything then. At 11:15 p.m. the next night, I told my neighbors I could hear them talking, but they carried on and even started singing on purpose. I went to reception shortly after midnight. The night receptionist promised to speak to them right away, but didn’t, and I didn’t appreciate being lied to. It seemed noisy guests were given priority over people trying to sleep, and I barely slept two nights in a row. Thankfully, my neighbors were quiet on the third night and I slept well. Apart from that night receptionist, the receptionists, waiters, and cleaners were all friendly and helpful.
