Hotel Chems du Lac

We spent one night here as part of a tour. The hotel looks lovely and the views are great. Breakfast was fine, though the room was missing a few things that would have made the stay feel top-notch. The shower was strange and didn’t work.

The room was clean and comfortable, and we had a balcony with a beautiful view. Our Wi-Fi worked perfectly, though others in our group told us theirs was poor. The bathroom layout was odd, while the dining room was fine. Both dinner and breakfast were perfectly acceptable, just nothing special.

The setting is good, especially if you’re into kayaking or jet skiing, and the rooms are clean and decent. Still, quite a few things need attention. The closet handles were broken, the coffee ran out of orange juice at 16h, which seemed bizarre to me, and there was nobody at the pool to give information or provide service or activities. If you wanted a drink, you had to go to the coffee shop. The food was disappointing: breakfast was extremely terrible, and dinner wasn’t very good despite being expensive. Rooms on the upper floors can get hot at night. You can turn on the AC, but with the windows open, mosquitoes will eat you alive. It’s a well-located place with nice surroundings, but some major things need improvement.

The hotel sits peacefully beside the lake, with a breathtaking view of the small hills around it. I had a brilliant stay, thanks in large part to the wonderful service. Mr. Moha was always friendly and ready to help. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing break and great hospitality.
