Best Western Plus Casablanca City Center

The porter was the one person who gave me standout service. He was an elderly gentleman, warm and kind, and I also enjoyed the breakfast. Apart from those positives, my stay was disappointing. The hotel felt basic and didn't meet my expectations, and the rooms were very basic too. When I was checking out, a friend came to help with my luggage but wasn't allowed up to the room because I'd paid for single occupancy. I found that surprising and embarrassing, though I didn't want to make a scene, so I had him wait at reception. There was also a payment problem. I was asked to try several cards, making it seem like they were faulty, but it turned out the POS machine was the issue. That could have been handled more professionally. I wouldn't stay here again.

The room was decent, but parking is limited. Staff told us to park on the street, and because there was a no parking sign I checked again with the receptionist. She said it was completely fine. The next morning my car had been towed, and I had to pay a 390 MAD fine. It seriously disrupted my itinerary. I learned not to take staff advice on trust.

I was with a group, and I wouldn't stay here again. The front desk wasn't helpful, the rooms are tiny, and they wouldn't give us a second key card. I also found three small, flying, white aphid-like bugs in the shower, though I didn't bother taking a photo. The lobby looks harmless. There's a movevenpeck down and across the street, so try that.
