Ennasma

The lobby looked nice when we arrived, and the staff at Hotel Ennesma were polite, friendly, and keen to help. Their kindness and effort deserve recognition. The rooms were another story. We booked several for our family, and every one smelled noticeably, perhaps damp. The bathrooms and rooms were badly dated, with cracked tiles, peeling grout, and worn fixtures that need serious renovation. The condition doesn't match the advertised 4 stars; it felt more like a 1.5 or 2 star place. It's a shame, since the team are brilliant and do their best, but the hotel urgently needs updating to meet their service level.

The room and bathroom were clean and spacious, with a big, comfortable bed, and the price was great value. I'm glad I ignored the negative reviews and booked anyway. The staff were welcoming and nice.

The staff were the highlight: they kept our passports when we left the room, check-in was smooth, and they called taxis. Still, there were plenty of problems. On the third day the hotel's hot water failed, so we could only shower and wash our hands with cold water. The area can feel dangerous to walk around at night. My family and I booked two double rooms with single beds, and they were very different. The larger one was quiet, away from the street, but had a strange smell throughout our four-night stay, hairs in the bed, and windows that wouldn't lock properly. The smaller room had two beds with barely any aisle or proper path between the beds and bathroom, and almost nowhere to store things. Its windows did lock, but the bathroom leaked and the leak wasn't fixed. Hotel Ennasma is decent if you find a room that suits you, but choose carefully. Some rooms are extremely cramped, claustrophobic, and noisy; window security varies, and some have safes while others have no safe or storage area.

The air conditioning didn't work, and we were freezing at night. The bathrooms were filthy and moldy, and the sinks were clogged all the time. The area around the hotel felt unsafe, and the place was unhygienic. It didn't meet expectations and looked nothing like the photos.
