Hotel Loubar

The only good thing I can say is that the rooms have balconies. The walk to the Medina takes 15 minutes, everything felt old, and there were no facilities, no AC or heating. The toilet needed six flushes because the water pressure was so low. Breakfast was the most ridiculous I've had, and the windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned since 2023. I wouldn't come back, even for free.

The hosts were lovely, and all the gated parking was reassuring. It was a really nice first night in Morocco. I felt cold in early April 2024, though there were plenty of blankets in the room, and being up in the valley, that was pretty much expected. Simple hotel, but I’d stay again.

I had a nice time in the city, but I wouldn’t recommend this place. The location is good, the interior is very nice, and staff responded quickly. Still, my toilet broke two hours after I got to the room, so I moved to another one. The shower water was freezing, and in December I had to pile on blankets because there was no heating at all. That didn’t feel acceptable.

Breakfast was poor, with rotten boiled eggs, and the chairs were dusty. There was no water in the evening on both the second and third floors, and hot water was sometimes missing during the day too. The Wi-Fi could be slow and wouldn’t let me use streaming services. Not worth it, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
