The staff talking in the hallways late at night was the most annoying part. The location may or may not suit you: the hotel has a restaurant, and other restaurants are within walking distance, but you have to go up and down a hill. You can only reach the hotel on foot, not by car. The room had worn sheets and pillowcases, rusty bathroom fixtures, a wobbly floor from a leak, cracked walls, and no balcony chair. The mattress sagged and its springs made noise. There was no wardrobe or chair in the room. The pool wasn’t heated. For a four-star hotel, I expected more: there was no fridge, room service, safe, or kettle.

The location was a real plus, close to the Chefchaouen marketplace and the Spanish Mosque (Bouzafer Mosque). I was traveling with a group, and room quality varied quite a bit. Mine had decent space and two twin beds that could be pushed together. Staff were pleasant, though I barely dealt with them. I hadn’t realized there was no daily housekeeping. Breakfast was nice, but limited to the same selection every day. The bathroom was the main problem. It was small, dated, and not very clean. The shower curtain had mildew, the towels were thin and worn, and we got only two even after asking for extras. The shower head and attachment didn’t work properly, and water leaked everywhere. The place could use maintenance and more attention to detail.

The beds were clean, but the bathrooms weren’t, and I’ve had better toilets for less money in Morocco. The air conditioning, on the other hand, was great. There’s a kettle in the room, but no tea, coffee, or water to go with it, so it’s just decoration. Breakfast was called “traditional”: three kinds of bread, a little cheese and butter, and an omelette. We paid 50€ for the night, and it wasn’t worth it. There’s an artificial waterfall right beside the property that wasn’t mentioned anywhere, so expect constant white noise. Parking isn’t nearby; you have to park down the pedestrian street. Fake “Guards” ask for money. There seems to be a day rate and a night rate, perhaps based on the car’s size or type. Better to pay 5€ than risk a broken window. The TVs are basic, with Arabic satellite channels and a few European news channels. There’s no streaming or casting, and no complimentary water, so bring a bottle.

Our third-floor room had amazing views. A nice basic hotel, with clean rooms and a good breakfast.

The people working here were super friendly and helpful, and it’s close to lots of restaurants and the main attractions in chefchoun. My room was spacious and nice, with an amazing view. Breakfast was great, and the cozy breakfast area was a lovely touch. There’s also a small pool if you feel like taking a dip. Loved this place, everything felt perfect!
