Hotel Residence Selwane

I used to recommend this place, and had sent people there at least four times. I won't be doing that anymore. It has gradually deteriorated and hasn't been maintained. The room wasn't cleaned well, with loose hair in the kitchen sink and on the floors, and there was a loose bandage on one of the blankets. The shower didn't work properly, and nothing was done after I complained. The electric heater was faulty too: making a simple stew took more than three hours, and they said the whole hotel had only two cookers. Rain came in through the kitchen window. Even after we asked, they didn't provide a floor rag, broom, trash can, or trash bag. The air conditioner had no remote to adjust the fan, which was stuck on the lowest setting, and the faulty balcony door made it hard to get outside. Four years ago I wrote a much better review: the hosts were hospitable, the parlour and room were roomy, and the kitchen was cozy. It wasn't stocked, but they'd bring whatever we asked for.
