Riad Nerja Chaouen

The riad has a warm, homely feel, and the terrace view is stunning. Our rooms were pretty and comfortable, breakfast was amazing, and the staff were the kindest and most helpful we’ve met. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Chefchaouen.

Mohamed and oussama were so friendly, and every morning they served a lovely breakfast with fresh orange juice, tea, and more. I felt welcome from the very first moment until the end. One of the best experiences I’ve had. Thanks, guys! I’d recommend it anytime.

Breakfast was very nice, with pancakes, toast, eggs, juice, coffee, and tea. The owner was friendly, speaks English, replied to email quickly, and offered to pick us up from the nearby parking. But when we arrived and called, the assistant couldn’t speak English or French, so we had to find the Riad ourselves. There are quite a few stairs to get there. The family room was small, with no heater or air conditioning, and one of the extra beds was hard as wood. There was no bathroom, toilet, or sink in the room. The shared bathroom was tiny and cold, with the shower literally in the toilet and a broken sink. A big disappointment. Two stars overall.

Two people at reception agreed on a price and gave me the form. Then someone new started their shift and told me to pay more or leave. The staff seemed very disorganized. I didn’t want to give them my business, so I left for another place. I felt disrespected and unwelcome. Wouldn’t recommend it.
