Dar Adul

I should mention that I'm friends with the owner, but my family's stay at Dar Adul really was wonderful. The staff were lovely and keen to make things go well, and we saw them treat the other guests just as kindly. They seemed to anticipate what we needed, and the facilities were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, especially Mohaned's omelets. The Riad combines Moroccan hospitality with familiar comforts for international visitors, plus a few quirky, fun surprises. The well-travelled host has put a lot of thought into the place and runs it with a personal, warm touch. I can't recommend it highly enough!

The location made it easy to wander among the lively shops and restaurants, and the impressive beach was within walking distance. Wi-Fi was fast, my room was always cleaned to a high standard, and the private en-suite bathroom had cosy towels. I had a wonderful 7 day stay at Dar Adul, a beautiful Riad with a lovely atmosphere and a real sense of comfort. Mary greeted me when I arrived and showed me around the interior and roof terrace. Breakfast was delicious every day, served by professional, friendly staff who knew the Medina and its history well and gave me lots of tips on where to eat and shop. The roof was also a lovely place to watch the sun set over the Atlantic. My room, the Salon, and the rest of the interior had beautiful, eclectic traditional and contemporary art, exquisite rugs, blankets, and soft furnishings. I have very fond memories and wouldn't have wanted anything more. Thank you to Mary and her staff. I look forward to returning and highly recommend this extraordinary place in Essaouira.

The riad's decor was beautiful, and we had a lovely ocean view from a good location. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout an excellent stay. Highly recommend!

The breakfasts and hospitality were outstanding, and the rooftop terraces look out over the Atlantic. It's in a great spot and, by far, the best riad I've ever stayed in. Superb accommodation, highly recommended.
