Rashida was such a welcoming, friendly host, and her dinner suggestion, Dar Baba, was wonderful. I loved the rooftop for drinks, the beautiful view, and the nightly entertainment. The hotel’s Moroccan decor is really artsy, and it’s right among the shops and restaurants. We enjoyed strolling around this cute little town for a day, which was plenty for us. Bring layers, though, since evenings get chilly. My only complaints were flies in the lobby and a showerhead you had to hold in place. The tub is very tall, too, so it could be awkward if your mobility is limited.

We had such a magical time at Salut Maroc today. At sunset there was live music with a Gnawa band, playing original Moroccan folk music Amazigh. The atmosphere was amazing! Said, our waiter, was welcoming and looked after everything we needed. His service was impeccable, quick, and accommodating. The whole staff were friendly and made the place feel warm and inviting. Thanks to everyone for a great time. We’ll be back soon inshallah! 🥰

I got unwell during my stay, and the staff looked after me so kindly and generously. I’m really grateful to them, thank you so much. The restaurant itself is stunning, beautifully decorated, with lovely sea views. The staff were caring and attentive, and both the service and food were wonderful.

We were so upset by how this went. The owner refused to refund us after we left the same evening and kept the payment for two nights, about Euros 640, even though the room description on the site was clearly inaccurate. We’d booked a “double room with sea view,” but the room was tiny, with no space to open our suitcases and nowhere to store clothes. It was on the second floor, reached only by a very narrow spiral staircase with steep steps that felt dangerous. We found a lovely hotel in Essaouira and still had a lovely holiday in the end. Avoid the hotel and restaurant. Absolute rip-off.

The location put us right by the Medina’s lively shops, close to the ocean and the excursions we’d planned. Salut Marco has that boutique charm, and the staff were genuinely welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Even their sharp, stylish uniforms showed how much care they put into the guest experience. My husband and I were lucky to get the Tangier room, with breathtaking views of the ocean and iconic city wall. Waking up to that scenery never got old. The room was thoughtfully decorated in rich colors that capture Morocco’s spirit, with a gorgeous deep copper soaking tub as its centerpiece. Breakfast alone is worth it: fresh fruit, creamy yogurt, porridge, warm breads and pastries, omelettes, vegetables, freshly squeezed orange juice unlike any we’ve tasted, and bold, flavorful coffee I miss at home. Dinner was just as good, with outstanding fresh seafood and nightly live music that felt intimate and festive, thoroughly Moroccan. We’ll absolutely be back. ❤️ The Fasciani’s
