Anass was the brightest part of our stay. He was friendly, attentive, genuinely caring, and always willing to help. We enjoyed his conversations about Moroccan history and culture, and he made the stay much more pleasant. We also appreciated the rides to and from the parking area and the help with our luggage both times. The riad didn’t meet our expectations for a five-star place. Our room was basic, the beds very hard, cleanliness could have been better, and there wasn’t even a hairdryer. It lacked the charm, detail, and luxury we found at several cheaper riads elsewhere in Morocco. The terrace and outdoor areas also seemed neglected, with worn, unstable tables, damaged umbrellas, and facilities needing maintenance. Breakfast was especially disappointing. It was bland, most of the products weren’t fresh, and it fell short of what we expected in Morocco. We chose to eat all our remaining meals outside the riad. Drink and extra prices also felt far too high for the quality. We’d had more memorable stays at less expensive riads with better detail and a warmer atmosphere. No one told us about a local holiday, so many places were closed. We would have appreciated some guidance about local customs, events, and practical tips for the area. We’re grateful to Anass for his hospitality, but the riad as a whole didn’t live up to five-star expectations.

The staff were helpful and friendly, communicated well with guests, and spoke fluent English. The location was convenient, close to the parking area. Our room had high ceilings and looked nice, but in winter it was never warm because heating it was difficult. The shower drain was very slow, and there was no hot water available for making tea yourself, though the hotel sells tea.

We spent four nights here and had a lovely stay. The spacious, beautiful room had a small jacuzzi, and the Riad’s terrace looked out toward the castle. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the medina. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was great. Breakfast is included, and you can also have dinner there if you let them know ahead of time.

The staff’s kindness and warmth, especially Ahmed’s, made us feel cared for and welcomed like family from the start. The Riad’s traditional tiles, lamps, and window details give it an authentic old Moroccan feel, and the Wi-Fi was stable throughout our stay. Still, it’s showing its age and needs renovation and maintenance. It has potential, but the lack of upkeep is disappointing, and the experience doesn’t feel five-star.

Mr. Ahmed was especially professional and kind, giving us the information we needed about our stay and suggestions for what to visit. The staff could also answer questions about the city and Moroccan items. They made us feel like family, not just customers. The decor and furniture were beautiful, with an authentic Moroccan style that my wife kept photographing. The place was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh juice and a clean, nicely decorated dining area. I loved the little round bread, though I can’t remember its name. I recommend staying here. My thanks to everyone who made us feel at home, especially Mr. Ahmed.
