Our room had a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom, and the host was so friendly, always ready to help with a smile. On arrival he greeted us with tea and a quick rundown of places to see. We had an early flight and asked if we could leave our bags at the riad without booking another night, which was no problem. Even after we'd checked out, he gave us more tea and cookies when we came back to drop off souvenirs and look up a restaurant online. I'd recommend the place.

The laundry was great. We handed our clothes in the morning, and by evening they were clean and folded on our bed. The price was very reasonable, and Hicham hardly wanted to take our money for it. We also asked him about a desert tour from Fez to Marrakech. He immediately suggested either 1 night / 2 days or 2 nights / 3 days. We picked the longer option with his recommended company, “Desert Life Tours,” and arranged the booking right there. We were happy with the choice and would recommend it to everyone. They can be found on... The next morning's breakfast surprised me with how much there was: fruit, eggs, pancakes, and pastries. Hicham gave us a map and showed us how to reach the main sights in the medina, along with a few things to watch out for when walking around at night. The place is well located, and we could get everywhere on foot. We arrived by train late in the evening. Hicham had already messaged that morning to say he was expecting us and could help with questions. He also offered a private taxi service, so we wouldn't need to find transport ourselves. At the accommodation, he welcomed us with mint tea in the lovely mosaic entrance hall and offered us the choice of an upstairs room instead of a ground-floor one. We chose upstairs. It was spacious and well kept, the air conditioning worked well, and we weren't cold at night despite the cool weather. Google Maps worked well on our phones, even in the narrow, hidden streets. We bought a SIM card with 50 GB of data from Orange at the airport, and it worked perfectly, so we didn't feel lost in the evenings.

We had a great stay at Riad Baba. The rooms were clean and spacious, and it was quiet at night. Breakfast was great too. The staff, especially Hicham, were welcoming and professional. He showed us how to find our way around the city and helped arrange a taxi to the airport. Definitely recommended, 10/10.

The bathroom was reached by crossing a short passage with only a curtain between it and the main hallway. It briefly felt like stepping outside, which was unexpected, so we were glad to have flip-flops. It wasn't a big problem, though. Our room was clean and huge, set up for four even though there were just two of us, and that made it comfortable. The courtyard was charming, and breakfast was generous and tasty. The decor and bedding did feel a bit dated.

I don't usually write reviews, but this stay really touched me. Ahmed and Mohammad were so welcoming and helpful, always there when I needed something. Their hospitality made me feel completely at home, and I'm grateful to them. The rooms were incredibly spacious, hot water was available around the clock, and breakfast was delicious. It was quiet and homey, with reasonable prices, an ATM nearby, and car parking. The riad sits in the old Madina, with all the main attractions in Fes within walking distance. I'll definitely return and stay here again. Thank you both, Ahmed and Mohammad. God bless you!
