Riad Fes Baraka Piscine & Spa

The upstairs suite had loads of space and a private indoor terrace, and Khadija and Kawtar had it exceptionally well prepared. I first stayed at this riad 10 years ago with a friend, so I came back this year with my family. Samira was wonderful at the hammam and took care of us both physically and emotionally. We also did a very personal cooking class with her and the kitchen staff. The food was amazing, and our 4-year-old had a great time. Touria at reception made sure we had everything we needed and served us a fantastic breakfast. Thank you all!

We felt right at home during our two nights here. The room was huge and clean, the staff were kind and welcoming, and breakfast was wonderful. The massage with Bouchra was the highlight. Don’t miss it if you stay here! We didn’t manage to try the hammam this time, but we’ll do that on our next visit. Already looking forward to coming back to Fez.

Samir helped us make the most of our time in Fes, from offering transport and a guide for the old Medina when we booked to meeting us outside with our bags and welcoming us with Moroccan mint tea. He also offered to have dinner ready when we arrived. As strict vegetarians, we were so impressed with the fresh market ingredients and the care he and his team put into our meal that we ate at the riad again the next night. It was the best food we had on our two-week trip through Morocco. Our two nights at Riad Fes Baraka were really comfortable. The Serial Suite was beautiful, with traditional Moroccan decor, high ceilings, and a private terrace. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. There wasn’t a refrigerator in the room, but Samir kept our drinks in the kitchen and brought us ice when we wanted it. My friend also had a traditional Hammam and massage at the riad after our day of travel and highly recommends it. There’s a lovely rooftop lounge, and wine is available by the bottle. If you want beer, there’s a Carrefour nearby with other drink options. For our 7 AM airport transfer on departure day, Samir arranged a spacious van so we had room for our luggage, then carried our bags to the taxi himself. His warm goodbye made us feel truly appreciated. The hospitality and personal service here were wonderful. I’d definitely stay here in Fes again.

We wondered if we’d picked the right place while walking through the streets to the riad, but once the doors opened, we knew we had. We stayed on the top floor in a grand suite overlooking the pool. It felt like a palace, with a big balcony, a sundeck, and a huge sleeping area. One of our favorite stays in Morocco. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, and the pool was refreshing. Parking wasn’t great, though it was similar to what we dealt with in most of the other cities on our trip.
