Mohammed and his team made our stay in Fes one of the best parts of our Morocco tour. They were so kind and always ready to help with anything. We felt at home and can’t wait to return. Thank you for everything, you’re the best in Fes! The room was large and clean, with a heater and winter blankets to keep us comfortable. It’s a traditional riad with a lovely rooftop terrace. The location is handy, just steps from the blue door for taxis and other transport, yet on a quieter side road away from the Medina’s noise.

The manager, Muhammed, was odd, switching between warm and cold. At first he told us, “This is your house and I am living in your house,” but later he was rude, racist, and at times inebriated. After one night, we were told to leave the bigger room we’d been given, because they wanted to give it to a new arrival. The manager wasn’t courteous about it and simply said we had to move. We’d booked two single rooms and were pleased when they said one of us could have a bigger, better room. We paid, stayed one night, then were asked to vacate it the next morning. The location wasn’t bad, though it was deeper inside the Medina and harder to find than advertised. There’s a nice terrace with a great view.

The worst part was the owner, who was hostile, rude, and ill-mannered. The homestay is down a very narrow lane and hard to find. Avoid it at all costs.

The owner was rude and hostile, and his bad manners made me feel he shouldn’t work in hospitality. He could ruin your experience, even if you like Fes.
