Villa Agapanthe

The food was decent, though nothing special by Moroccan standards, and the laundry service was a real help. The stay itself fell short of what we expected. Getting there meant taking a narrow, unpaved track that felt a little unsafe and deserted. The pool was dirty, and the concrete floors made the rooms feel very cold. Keep your expectations modest.

We had a huge balcony and a roomy, industrial-style room. The restaurant food was fantastic, with lovely views and a nice pool too. It’s a peaceful spot, and the staff are really friendly. Highly recommend it!

Breakfast was pleasant, with bread, cookies and other baked goods, cheese, orange juice, tea, and coffee, though there was no fruit or veg. The rooms weren’t clean, and I found spiders and dead bugs in the bathroom. They also felt very cold. Dinner was pricey, especially compared with nearby places. Getting in was difficult too, along a rocky dirt road and narrow paths. The WiFi was unreliable, and the linens had stains.

The hills and fields behind the hotel look lovely, especially under a full moon. The place itself is attractive, with spacious, comfortable rooms and modern, clean decor mixed with touches of traditional Moroccan color. Breakfast was nice but mostly different kinds of bread with jam and honey, and no eggs or vegetables. Laundry service was handy. One thing to know is that Villa Agapanthe is far from the Medina and city centre, and the last stretch is a dirt road. Driving through the industrial area and beyond the paved road made us uneasy. We couldn’t spot a sign on the building and had to guess we’d found the right place. Hopefully they’ll fix that soon.
