Le Chamonix

They only take cash, which is odd for a place that's also a hotel. I had the Moroccan salad and a margarita pizza, but neither showed much care. The salad was mostly tomatoes and onions with a piece of tuna on top, without oil or seasoning. The pizza tasted like a standard supermarket freezer product. Stay away from this place.

We came in for a drink but weren't given a menu. After checking the menu in the window by the door, we ordered two cappuccinos. It listed them at 15 dirham each, but the bill came to 40. Apparently the prices had changed and they hadn't updated the window menu. They weren't friendly, either. Don't come here unless you have to.

We stopped in Ifran on the way to Fes for coffee and snacks, and the place did the job. There was a decent choice of drinks, and the location was nice, with seating both indoors and outside. Sitting there gave me almost European bistro vibes, quite a contrast with the rest of Morocco. The bathrooms could have been better maintained, but they were usable.

Our driver brought 12 of us here for a coffee and toilet break on the way to Fez. The inside was empty, though lots of people were walking around outside. I checked the reviews and was shocked. I think everyone in our group did the same, because nobody ordered anything. The driver went in to use the toilet, but reception stopped the 12 of us. Minivan tour drivers seem to stop at a lot of places like this.
