Hotel Mamora

I’m from the USA, and after paying for a to-go order, I was told to wait outside at closing time. My items never arrived, and security kept telling me to leave, so I ended up with nothing. Luckily, I paid with an American credit card and was able to dispute the charge and get my money back. From what I’ve found since, this has happened to multiple people, so be cautious about possible scams here. I strongly advise against using a credit card at this establishment.

My girlfriend and I were visiting Morocco from the USA and stopped at Mamora Hotel in Kénitra for a drink one evening. We wanted to relax by the pool, but within minutes mosquitoes were all over us and biting us badly. The waiter said he was dealing with them too, but spoke to us very rudely when we raised our concerns. We went to the front desk, where the receptionist also told us not to complain because he was suffering from the same problem, then went quiet. It felt like management already knew and didn’t care. We were outraged and deeply disappointed by the service and unsanitary conditions. This hotel shouldn’t be welcoming guests. Avoid it if you care about your health and well-being. P.S. The room was very nice, and the service was great. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We chose this hotel because it was the only one serving alcohol, but the cleanliness wasn’t up to the standard I expect from a hotel. There was a lot of other people’s hair in my bathroom and mold on the ceiling. I didn’t look any further because I didn’t want to find more.

The restaurant deserves four stars from me. The food was great, staff were polite and professional, and I liked the attention to detail. It felt like home. The chef was so accommodating that they even let me order ahead and have my meals ready without waiting. The hotel itself, though, is absolutely not one I’d recommend. For a three star hotel, the price felt high for Kenitra and the services offered weren’t that great. There were no slippers, and the air conditioning noise kept me awake all night, even though it was cozy. The restaurant, absolutely yes.
