The pool was lovely and clean, and the courtyard looked great with its painted walls and pretty lighting. We also really liked the restaurant and the buffet breakfast, especially since the hotel makes all its own bread and pastries. Our room was nice, with a great shower, though the drain was clogged and left the floor wet. The water didn’t get as hot some nights either. Music played every day until 23:30, and sometimes people kept chatting afterward. We were in a room beside the courtyard, so it was hard to sleep before then. Rooms on the street side might not be any quieter. Adele played five nights in a row. I liked that, but I can see how someone might want a change.

A big thank you to Hasna, who was lovely and helpful. The rest of the staff were great too, and I’d definitely recommend the hotel. It’s in Gueliz, the district I wanted to visit, and close to the train station, with an easy trip to the airport. The clean room had a balcony and was as described. My one gripe was that the fruit juice at breakfast was too watered down.

I appreciated how quickly reception handled the air conditioning problem in my first room. They sent maintenance and the receptionist checked back with me afterward, and the staff were polite. But I won’t return. As a Black guest, I was repeatedly stopped at the entrance and asked for my room number and other details, even though I saw white guests coming and going without being questioned. It left me feeling unwelcome and gave me the impression that the hotel isn’t very Black-friendly. That’s what I experienced as a Black traveler; others may have a different experience.

I had a really bad stay and wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I booked a double room that clearly accommodates two people, but at check-in the desk insisted only one person could stay unless we paid another €25. That wasn’t clearly disclosed when I booked. The staff member was rude and unprofessional, telling us, “do whatever you like, sir” sarcastically. His manner and expression made us feel unwelcome and discriminated against. We cancelled right there because of how we were treated, then found the hotel wouldn’t refund us. I lost €75 over what I see as an unreasonable policy and poor service. It’s about honesty, respect, and basic customer care, not just money. After this experience, and seeing similar complaints in other reviews, I don’t think the hotel treats guests fairly. I strongly, strongly, strongly advise staying elsewhere.
