Mogador Menzah (apparthotel)

The apartment felt run-down and badly maintained, nothing like the bright, pristine, modern place shown on Booking.com. The kitchen was supposed to have kitchenware but was completely bare. Cabinet doors were coming off their hinges, and the promised stovetop was just a filthy portable hot plate on a badly cracked counter. The white furniture that looked good in the listing photos was scuffed, chipped, and stained. The shower seemed grimy, and the view was of a dirty metal roof covered in debris. It felt like the photos had been heavily edited or might show an entirely different unit. If cleanliness, honest advertising, and the amenities you're paying for matter to you, avoid this place.

The staff were kind and tried to help, but they couldn't make up for how bad the hotel was. Our room was dirty and smelled unpleasant, there was no hot water, and we could hear everything from the other rooms. The furniture and blankets were old and dirty, and the doors were broken. Breakfast was poor quality and very limited. For the price, this place isn't worth it and doesn't meet basic standards. It was the worst hotel I've stayed in.

The staff were good, and taxis were easy to get. The room itself was good too, though I expected a kettle and microwave. The toilets weren't great: the shower curtains were dirty and the toilet seat wasn't fixed properly. Hot water was also unreliable, with warm water unavailable at certain times, which didn't seem fair.

The pool was really good, and having a shop right on site was a handy bonus. The place is in a fantastic location, and the staff, including the cleaners, were brilliant and very helpful. Check-in was available around the clock too.
