Riad Kech One & Spa

The one disappointment was the spa package. Some of the promised treatments weren’t provided, and the €5 discount they offered didn’t feel like enough to resolve it. Even so, our five days at Riad Kech One were wonderful overall. It’s beautifully decorated, clean and very well cared for, in a handy spot near the main sights and excursion pickup points. Zachariah was especially thoughtful on our early tour days, packing breakfast for us to take along. Our rooms were cleaned and tidied to an exceptional standard every day. I’d never had anyone neatly arrange and put away even my makeup before. We’d definitely come back and recommend it highly. 5/5 🌟

The breakfasts were fantastic, and the staff took good care of us throughout our stay. Riad Kech One was a lovely place to come back to and rest after a full day wandering the city streets.

The interiors are tastefully done without going over the top, the food was tasty, and the staff were very good. Zachariah deserves a special mention for taking good care of us. The approach is crowded and runs through a market, though the other shopping areas are within walking distance. As with all riads, vehicles can’t reach the door, but they’ll help move your luggage for an extra charge. This was one of the best, maybe the best, riads we stayed at in Morocco.

The bathroom pipework in our room smelled really bad. We told the staff, who said it hadn’t happened before, tried to work out the cause and were waiting for a professional plumber. I don’t know why they didn’t move us to another room instead of just apologizing. They said they would close the room until it was fixed, and I hope they sort it out quickly, since the building and facilities are new and decorated to a high standard. Apart from that problem, I still highly recommend Riad Kech One and would return if I get the chance. We stayed three nights as a family with our two-year-old son. We worried he might sometimes be noisy, but everyone was very kind to us and to him. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, and maybe it was the staff’s day off: only two women were there, and they didn’t speak English, but they were wonderful, kind and welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight, with a table full of delicious food freshly made in the kitchen. It was attractively laid out, and you could feel the care and enthusiasm that went into it.
