The hotel is beautiful, spacious, and central, but breakfast was the letdown, as others have mentioned. Street-facing rooms can be noisy if you have trouble sleeping, even with double-pane windows. The pool technically exists, but it’s tiny, dirty, and out of use.

The shower barely worked, and it took 60 minutes to fill the bath just 20%. People up on the roof at night could be heard clearly and loudly from the top floor. We were on a tour and had no choice, but elsewhere you can find much better value for money.

We weren’t sure what to expect when we booked, but the stay exceeded our expectations. Despite the central location, the soundproofing kept out traffic, construction, and late-night noise, so we slept peacefully without interruptions. Getting to attractions, restaurants, and public transport was easy, and the price was competitive for the quality and facilities. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. The staff stood out most: friendly, approachable, and consistently attentive, with a real eagerness to help. Their warm, professional hospitality made the stay memorable.

The staff were lovely and the location convenient, but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It was filthy, dark, and depressing, with a horrible smell and a moldy shower. The rooftop was under construction, so they didn’t open the ceiling to let natural light in. Breakfast was awful, and paint was chipping off the drinking glasses into our drinks. WiFi only worked in the courtyard and rooms facing it. I was there with an Intrepid tour.
