Breakfast was the worst part of our stay. Everything tasted frozen and old, not fresh. I paid good money for a bad time, and this was a big disappointment. Don't stay here, choose somewhere else. I checked into room 219 at Royal Mirage Deluxe, thinking it looked okay for my budget at this “5-star” hotel, but the problems started straight away. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly, so there was no privacy, and the shower was only a handheld hose. With no fan, steam filled the room until I couldn't see the mirror. There were no slippers, and the room phone was broken when I called reception to complain. Staff told me to go explore and said it would be sorted by the time I got back, but nothing had changed. The lights were so dim it felt dark, with no working bulbs. They didn't provide a free water bottle at check-in either, and I'd have had to pay for one.

The staff were really friendly and willing to deal with my room problems instead of brushing them off. When I first arrived, the rooms were very dirty, but they let me change rooms once I raised it, and I did that a few times. The gym was terrible, with broken equipment, and I didn't enjoy the breakfast, though that's personal preference. It's a good hotel, and the poolside would be nice in summer. With staff like that, I would have rated it much lower otherwise.

The manager, Mr Saad, was an amazing host, even extending our checkout when we told him our flight was quite late. The staff were so cordial and accommodating, and I loved the service and tea. It was an amazing experience.

For the price, this is a great deal. It's a good hotel, though a bit run down, and I don't understand why there are no bedside lamps. Breakfast was plenty OK. The hotel doesn't seem to care much about people having lunch or dinner there, as I never saw anyone eating.

The service was of the highest standard, and I especially want to thank Youssef at the reception for his excellent manners and outstanding service. It was a truly wonderful experience, and I'll definitely come back.
