Worst stay ever. The room looked nothing like the photos, and this felt like an old property turned into a hotel, nothing like a five-star place. There was no privacy and no double-glazed doors or windows. I’m not sure what to make of the reviews. Take pictures when you arrive, or you may be blamed for things you didn’t do. Truly disappointing.

Patrice and the team were the real highlight, kind, helpful, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They made us feel at home, and we’d definitely return. The riad was a peaceful oasis in busy, warm Marrakesh. Our room was beautiful and very clean, and we were greeted each day with cold water and pastries. Having our own private terrace gave us a quiet place to rest after walking and sightseeing. Breakfast changed daily, was always tasty, and featured local products made on the spot. The spa treatments and dinner in the patio were lovely too. It’s ideally placed, about a five-minute walk from the main square, while still feeling calm and tucked away.

Patrice, the manager, was incredibly kind and helpful, and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was amazing and the service exceptional. Riad al Assad is a charming boutique hotel in the heart of the Medina, a beautifully restored villa combining traditional Marrakech decor with modern touches. The stylish, cozy rooms have plenty of character. Highly recommend for a memorable stay.

We were especially glad the manager and staff recommended a full-day trip to a Berber community far into the Atlas Mountains, where there were nearly no tourists. Our guide, Mr Hichham, was very service-minded and helpful, and spoke fluent English. We highly recommend the excursion and the Riad. It’s a genuine, cozy place in the center, close to everything, with quiet, clean rooms, excellent service, and a fantastic rooftop breakfast. The manager and staff helped with all our questions during the stay.
