Flashback House

The building has lovely details, including engraved wood and mozaïek, and our large room had everything we needed, including WiFi and AC. The host was nice and spoke English very well. It’s in an authentic neighbourhood with a local market and no other tourists around. Since it’s within walking distance of the airport, it’s a perfect place for the last night in Marrakech, especially before an early flight.

The room looked beautiful, and the pool was nice for cooling off when it was 40 degrees outside. Finding the guest house was a little hard. The streets leading there were dirty and smelly, and the area felt a bit weird. We felt safe once at the guest house, but I hated walking through the alleys to get there.

A good option for a one-night stay in a local area near the airport.

Flashback house felt homelier than the Riad I’d stayed at before, and the owner was kind and quick to answer my call after I made an emergency booking because my flight was cancelled. He gave me a very comfortable room at a very good price. The room’s thick windows made it nice and dark for a peaceful sleep. It’s a good place to see how local Moroccans live, with vibrant markets and a lively street nearby. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the airport, and Google Maps gave pretty accurate directions. If you walk, follow the Zebra crossings. I ignored the taxi drivers’ scare tactics and walked back to the airport at 2 AM. It felt perfectly safe, with people preparing the street for the next day’s market, and nobody soliciting anything, unlike in other tourist spots. The Medina and other attractions aren’t too far either. Great property at a good price! Saeed ( Said ), you are the best!
