The lift was out, though the staff kindly carried our bags up to the third floor. That was about the only bright spot. The apartment was dirty, the toilet was in bad shape, the kettle was filthy, and the rooms were cold. Dust covered the air conditioning unit, and the door wouldn’t close properly, letting cold air in. There was no microwave, which we needed for our 1-year-old baby. We left the same day without staying a night. We’d been promised a full refund, but after paying €116 for three days, we were offered only €40. I turned that down, especially since we then had to spend another £70 on a last-minute hotel. A really awful experience. I’d tell others to steer clear.

The location made things easy, with 24-hour shops, places serving food until 2 a.m., and lots of affordable options nearby. Parking out front was reasonably priced, and the mall, supermarkets, ATMs, and banks were about a 10-minute walk away. Breakfast was traditional and delicious, too. The front desk team were professional and respectful, housekeeping kept everything spotless, and the breakfast staff were great. Everyone we met was kind and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. Great value for the price.

Getting around was easy: restaurants were close by, the neighbourhood was convenient, and the Marrakesh train station was a 10-minute walk away. That was the main thing I liked. We waited for our room even though we arrived after check-in time, and there were no towels. After we asked, none arrived for a while, and the front desk seemed to have forgotten our request. I’d paid in full through Expedia, including the local fees, before the trip. They still tried to charge us more, then backed down when I showed the price breakdown on my phone. The room looked nothing like the photos. The toilet was gross and unstable, and the wifi kept cutting out every few seconds. It was too cold to use the outdoor pool, and it looked like it needed cleaning. I wouldn’t suggest this hotel for a longer stay.

The room was dirty, the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly, and maintenance throughout the hotel seemed poor. Staff were slow, unhelpful, and unprofessional as well. It wasn’t worth the price, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The receptionist and other attendants seemed tired, so if you end up here, please be kind to them. Working in this place must be awful. I’m hoping I get out without bedbugs coming along on me or my belongings. Right now, even that would feel like a small victory. It’s purgatory, with little worse possible. The sheets on the mattress are threadbare and filthy. I’m sitting and lying down with my clothes on, using the spare blanket from the cupboard to cover them because I figure it gets used less often than the bed’s sheets and blanket. Still, I’m in contact with what looks like dried secretions from other people. My door won’t lock, so I won’t sleep tonight. I asked the attentive, kind attendant when the last stabbing here happened. That’s the kind of vibe this place gives off. I’m using this sleepless night to warn people away. Trust the one-star reviews and flee. Save your 300-600dh, and sleep on a bench or at the bus station instead. Wish me luck.
